The Rhode Island Strategic Plan for Education has been approved by RI’s Council on Elementary and Secondary Education. NCC provided guidance, resources, and technical assistance throughout the development of the RIDE strategic plan.

This new plan was written by a community “Design” team, and had the input – through surveys, focus groups and feedback sessions – of over 15,000 Rhode Islanders. It encompasses six priorities that will guide public education in Rhode Island over the next five years. These six priorities are: teacher and leader support; early childhood education; personalized learning; globally competent graduates; informed instructional decision-making; and student-centered resource investments.
