On September 13, 2017, the NCC co-facilitated a virtual café of state teams who have partnered together as a collaborative to advance their work in educator effectiveness. The Collaborative for Continuous Improvement of Educator Effectiveness Systems (CCIEES) is currently made up of seven states across the country who meet regularly together to learn from each other about their progress toward state-specific goals and efforts, while receiving support from their respective regional and content comprehensive centers and regional educational laboratories (RELs).

This session, Reimagining Defining and Measuring Student Learning, had a dual focus: Rhode Island’s work in reimagining the role of student learning in educator evaluation, and looking at student learning through the lens of both student and teacher agency. A recording of the virtual café will be posted soon for anyone interested in learning more.
