State-wide Conference #2: Inquiry-Based Learning Across the Disciplines

Keynote Speaker: Barbara Stripling, President of the American Library Association, advocate for inquiry-based learning, and creator of the Stripling Inquiry Model.
Experiential labs: learn how to create compelling lessons using cultural resources to meet the Common Core Learning Standards in 90 minute, hands on, inquiry-based sessions!
Plenary Speaker: James B. Short, Director, Gottesman Center for Science Teaching and Learning at the American Museum of Natural History.
A registration fee of $50 includes meals. Travel and lodging reimbursement at the state rate, double occupancy, is available for attendees who live more than 60 miles from Albany (reimbursement forms will be available at the conference).
Schedule: August 12: 8:00am – 6:30pm; August 13: 8:00am – 4pm.
