NCC is working closely with the New Hampshire Department of Education to help them develop professional development learning pathways in early learning (kindergarten-3rd grade) as part of the New Hampshire Network, a web-based platform connecting educators and experts across the state. We have just completed a first learning pathway focused on mathematics, called Foundational Concepts for Fractions: Early Mathematics for Elementary Grades. NCC was able to leverage existing, research-based materials through the Doing What Works project to assist in the development of the module. In January, NCC will share the learning pathway with a small task force for review and input. The next step is to pilot the learning pathway with schools.
