NCC has been working with New York State’s Office of Early Learning in an effort to strengthen, align and prioritize technical assistance and support around their prekindergarten program standards and the full implementation of the Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core. In addition to information obtained through site visits, self-reporting and self-assessment documents, the Department wanted to hear directly from program staff and administrators across the state about their professional development and technical assistance needs. NCC worked with NYSED staff to guide the development of a brief survey guided by the Department’s program quality standards and  PreK Foundation and with the goal of consolidating multiple priority areas. The survey has gone out and the results are in! Over the next several weeks, NCC will continue to work with staff to prioritize and support next steps.
