CEELO staff conducted a literature search to identify research-based materials that served as foundational resources for national and state content standards, many of which were incorporated into state K-3rd grade curriculum frameworks. The Chief State School Officers State Collaborative on Assessment and Student Standards- Early Childhood (CCSSO/SCASS-EC) also suggested resources and state models to explore. A review of selected states with comprehensive P- 3rd Grade curriculum standards was conducted with the recommendation that New Hampshire use a benchmarking approach similar to when it developed the NH Early Learning Standards by examining the works of other states’ recent efforts, many of which parallel the charge of the NH K – 3rd Force. Finally, CEELO staff contacted the Northeast Regional Lab to see if any materials were readily available to review and share and, although their response may not be available in time to include with this response, it will be conveyed once received.
