NCC continues to work closely with New York State’s Office of Early Learning in an effort to strengthen, align and prioritize technical assistance and support around their prekindergarten program standards and the full implementation of the Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core. One of the strategies being used in the state is the development of research and evidence-based materials and resources. Currently, NCC is working with state staff to develop a toolkit of practical materials for prekindergarten program administrators and staff that are aligned and coordinated with state guidelines, standards, and reporting requirements. Over the next several months, NCC will facilitate the development of an administrator’s manual that will house tools and resources from the Department and allow for on-time updating and additions.
