The Maine Department of Education, in partnership with the Northeast Comprehensive Center (NCC), will offer Student Learning Objective (SLO) training to school administrative units (SAUs). This is the second time this year that SLO training will be provided; the first training sessions were met with great success from SAUs.

Student Learning Objectives are a part of the newly required Performance Evaluation and Professional Growth (PEPG) systems for educators. This training will provide SAU team members with:

  • Research-based approaches to SLO implementation;
  • Turn-key activities to facilitate within districts; and
  • Electronic resources to support districts in their SLO implementation.

The training will be available in four locations throughout Maine on August 22-23. For more information and to register, please click here.
