The Northeast Comprehensive Center (NCC) supports states in our region to examine and create policy that leads to student preparation for and success in college and career. NCC provides research and information on best practices related to college and career readiness policies and procedures, connects states to one another and to experts in the field, and serves as a thought partner on a regional basis as well as on an individual state basis.
NCC’s efforts focus on:
- Defining and assessing career readiness, identified as a priority by five states in our region;
- Developing a regional community of practice around career readiness by facilitating cross-state discussions; and
- Building relationships with external partners, e.g., the College and Career Readiness and Success Center to identify research, evidence-based policies and practices, and assessments in response to states’ needs.
