Most states are focusing on developing, revising, piloting, implementing, or creating policy and practice guidelines for kindergarten assessment – under the labels of: Kindergarten readiness assessment, Kindergarten inventory, entry assessment and others. As state leaders are moving forward, they have become interested in ensuring that the tools and materials they adopt are understood and used with fidelity and integrity. NCC is working with New Hampshire on developing a communication plan and key understandings for ensuring a cohesive and developmentally appropriate vision going forward.
